Twelve trains are standing in two parallel yards containing six trains each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent trains.
In yard – 1
Punjab Mail, Qafiyat Express, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Toofan Mail and Kashi Vishwanath Express are standing and all of them are standing from North to South.
In yard – 2
Amarpali Express, Bombay-Kurla, Chauri-Choura Express, Duronto express, Ernakulam Express & Farakka Express are standing from South to North.
Therefore, in the given standing arrangement each train stands in a yard faces another train of the other yard.
Shatabdi stands 3rd to the right of Qafiyat. Either Shatabdi or Qafiyat stands at an extreme end of the line. The one which faces Qafiyat stands 2ndto the right of Ernakulam. Two trains stand between Bombay-Kurla and Farakka Express. Neither Bombay-Kurla nor Farakka Stands at an extreme end of the line. The immediate neighbour of Bombay-Kurla faces the train which stands 3rdto the left of Punjab Mail. Rajdhani and Toofan Mail are immediate neighbour of each other. Chauri-Choura Express stands 2nd to the left of Amarpali Express. Toofan Mail does not face the immediate neighbour of Duronto.
