CBS -- CORE BANKING SOLUTION

Historically banks were doing their business on manual systems with manual ledgers passbooks, supplementary books etc. Every Branch of a bank were maintaining it's customers details within the periphery of its branch
Core Banking solution is a system wherein all data relating to customers of all branches of a bank are kept at one place.In other words all customers of branches become customer of a bank and branches become service outlets after migration from manual system to CBS. Every service outlet has to link to its centralized data center through lease line,ISDN line or VSAT technique. When transaction is to be affected a service outlet has to retrieve its specific data from data center. It is modified and submitted for updation to data center. In this system a customer of a branch/service outlets can get banking services from any of the service outlets within a geographical boundary
