IBPS PO 2012 Results are out and everybody seems to be wondering what next? Officially there is no communication from IBPS regarding the next stage except the date from which the IBPS Score will be vaild.
Actually, the reason behind all this confusion is the failure of earlier IBPS system, wherein they used to give a TWS Score valid over a one year duration. This system had many loopholes and resulted in a single candidate getting multiple calls and low scoring candidates not getting even a single a call.
After this was highlighted to IBPS by students and parents community, IBPS silently acknowledged the these issues and there were several deliberations between Bank Representatives and IBPS in past few months.
After many deliberations, the process was refined further which was approved the government this week. As per our understanding and insights, following is going to be process for recruitment of 19 governments banks through IBPS -
Stage I: IBPS will take requirement of each bank for the number of candidates to be recruited for each bank.
Stage II: IBPS will conduct a common written exam for Bank PO and Clerk each.
Stage III: IBPS will declare the result of the written test and candidates will be qualified based on the number of available vacancies (approx. 4-5 times the number of vacancies in all banks).
Stage IV: IBPS will conduct a common interview for all the candidates selected in written test.
Stage V: IBPS will also take preference list of candidates as in which Bank they would like to join if selected.
Stage VI: IBPS will declare the final result on the basis of total marks (written test + interview) for the exact number of candicates required by the banks and candidates are alloted banks on the basis of their preference .
And thus the recruitment process is over. This process will be repeated once a year or twice a year for which a notification will be out soon from IBPS side.
