Multiplying a 2-digit number by 1.1

Follow the following Step:

  1. Select a 2-digit number.
  2. Move decimal point one place left.
  3. Add this to original number.

   Example-1:

  1. The 2-digit number chosen to multiply by 1.1 is 21.
  2. Move decimal one place left: 2.1.
  3. Add this to original number: 2.1 + 21 = 23.1.
  4. So 1.1 × 21 = 23.1.
    Example-2:
  1. The 2-digit number chosen to multiply by 1.1 is 73.
  2. Move decimal on place left: 7.3.
  3. Add this to original number: 7.3 + 73 = 80.3.
  4. So 1.1 × 73 = 80.3.
