ENGLISH VOCAB.

1.    WORD: UNSCATHED (सकुशल , सही सलामत )
Synonyms: Unharmed
Meaning: If you are unscathed after a dangerous experience, you have not been injured or harmed by it.
Example: Tony emerged unscathed apart from a severely bruised finger.
2.    WORD: DEBONAIR (ख़ुशमिज़ाज व्यक्ति / अनुग्रहपूर्ण)
Synonyms: Elegant
Meaning: A man who is debonair is confident, charming, and well- dressed.
Example: He was a handsome, debonair, death – defying racing – driver.
3.    WORD : ASSUAGE ( शान्त करना)
Synonyms:  Calm
Meaning: If you assuage an unpleasant feeling that someone has, you make them feel in less strongly.
Example: To assuage his wife’s grief, he took her on a tour of Europe.
4.    WORD: JETTISONS ( छोड़ना / त्यागना )
Synonyms: Abandon
Meaning: If you jettison something, for example an idea or a plan, you deliberately reject it or decide not to use it .
Example: The Government seems to have jettisoned the plan.
5.    WORD: CRAVEN ( डरपोक / कायर )
Synonyms: Cowardly
Meaning: Someone who is craven is very cowardly.
Example: They condemned the deal as a craven surrender.
6.    WORD: AUGURY ( शकुन चिन्ह / लक्षण )
Synonyms: Omen
Meaning: An augury is sign of what will happen in the future.
Example: The auguries of death are fast gathering round his head.
7.    WORD: TRANSGRESS ( उल्लंघन करना / लाघना )
Synonyms: Outstep
 Meaning: If someone transgresses, they break a moral law or a rule of behavior.
Example: IF a politican transgresses, that is not the fault of the media.
8.    WORD: USURP ( हड़पना / कब्ज़ा करना ) 
Synonyms: Seize, Wrest
Meaning: If you say that someone usurps a job, role, title, or position, they take it from someone when they have no right to do this.
Example: Did she usurp his place in his mother’s heart?
9.    WORD: ALLEVIATE ( कम करना / शान्त करना )
Synonyms: Abate, mitigate
Meaning: If you alleviate pain, suffering, or an unpleasant condition, you make it less intense or severe.
Example: Nowadays, a great deal can be done to alleviate back pain.
10.  WORD: ARMISTICE ( युद्ध विराम )
Synonyms: Truce
Meaning: An armistice is an agreement between countries who are at war with one another to stop fighting and to discuss ways of making peace.
Example: Finally, the Bolsheviks signed an armistice with Germany.
